May Blossoms



This tutorial was written by me on February 6th 2018.
Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental


Tube: Angela by VeryMany

FTU Scrapkit: May Blossoms from Melissaz Creationz

Mask: WSL75 by Wee Scots Lass

Font: Autumn

Open new image 700 x 700
Fill white.

Layers – new raster layer
Selections – select all.
Paste paper 09 into selection
Deselect

Apply mask
In layers palette – merge group
Stretch to all edges

Element 32 (Glitter scatter)
Paste above mask layer.
Slide to bottom right corner.
Sharpen
Duplicate – mirror
Merge both together
Duplicate – Flip
Move down a little
Dropshadow both

Element 02 (Frame)
Resize 110%
Paste above element 32 layers
Sharpen

Click inside with magic wand.
Selections – modify – expand 5
Layer – new raster layer
Paste Paper 03 into selection
Deselect.

In layers palette, move paper 3 to sit below frame.
Dropshadow frame.

Element 18 (Doily)
Paste below paper 3 layer
Slide to top centre so it peeks above frame
Duplicate twice
Flip one copy
Slide other copy to the left and position as desired.
Duplicate – Mirror
Merge all four copies of doily together.
Dropshadow.

Element 06 (Flower vine)
Resize 65%
Paste above frame layer
Slide to left side of frame
Sharpen
Duplicate – Mirror

Element 12 (Purple Daisy)
Paste between two element 06 layers.
Slide to bottom and slightly off to left. Rename PD1
Duplicate
Move to the right just below centre, (PD2)
Duplicate – mirror
Slide down slightly
 Dropshadow all three

Element 30 (Rope)
Paste above top copy of element 06l.
Adjust – add noise – Gaussian 50
Adjust – sharpness – sharpen more.
Dropshadow

Tube
Resize 90%
Cut off just below the waist
Paste above element 30 layer.
Slide to top and slightly left
Sharpen
Dropshadow

PD1 is next layer

Element 13 (Red Flower)
Paste above Tube layer.
Slide down and slightly right.
Sharpen
Duplicate – mirror
Slide this copy far left
Dropshadow

Element 05 (Stalk)
Resize 75%
Paste between two element 13 layers
Slide right
Sharpen
Dropshadow

Next layer should be PD3

Element 14 (twin flowers)
Paste above PD3 layer
Slide to bottom centre.
Sharpen
Rename Twins 1
Duplicate – mirror
Slide this to the right and up a little
Rename Twins 2
Duplicate Twins 2 and slide to bottom left corner
Rename Twins 3
Dropshadow all three

In layers palette, move PD2 down to sit above Twins 1

Element 10 (Grey flowers)
Paste above PD2 layer
Sharpen
Duplicate – mirror bottom copy
Slide back to right, and down slightly
Dropshadow both.

Element 08 (Pink Lily)
Paste above top element 10 layer
Slide down and right
Sharpen
Dropshadow

Next layer should be Twins 2

Element 03 (White Lily)
Resize 75% then 90%
Flip
Paste above Twins 2 layer
Slide down to bottom right corner
Sharpen
Dropshadow

Next layer should be second element 13 layer

Element 15 (Pink Flower)
Paste above Element 13 layer
Slide down and left
Sharpen
Dropshadow

Next layer should be Twins 3

Element 27 (Butterfly)
Resize 75%
Paste above Twins 3
Duplicate – Mirror
Resize 85%
Place as desired
Dropshadow both

To be honest it doesn’t really matter which order the flowers are in.
Rotate, move duplicate and place wherever you want to

Add copyright, close white background.

Save as a png.
